1. USBC RULES AND REGULATIONS
USBC rules and regulations shall govern all aspects of this tournament
2. DRESS CODE
It is expected that bowling attire is worn.
T-shirts that do not have a bowling-type logo will not be allowed.
Football jerseys will not be allowed.
Blue Jeans of any kind will not be allowed.
Hats, caps, or head coverings will not be allowed.
Cut-off shirts, cut-off pants, or shorts will not be allowed.
Torn, ragged, or other clothing that may be considered offensive will not be allowed.
Girls MAY wear skirts, skorts, or shorts that comply with Junior Gold National Guidelines. Garment must reach at least fingertip length with arms resting at bowler's sides.
3. MEMBERSHIPS/ JUNIOR GOLD INFORMATION
All participants must be members of the USBC. Bowlers will be required to show proof of membership.
Any bowler interested in competing for an entry into the Junior Gold National Championships must purchase an additional membership ONE-TIME FEE.
One-time fee for U12 is $100
One-time fee for U15 is $150
One-time fee for U18 is $200
This fee makes the bowler eligible to compete in all the Beast of the East Junior Gold qualifiers for the entire season.
This fee DOES NOT include the USBC Junior Gold membership fee.
There is an additional $30 membership ($10 for U12) for any bowler that does not already have proof of their existing USBC Junior Gold membership.
The USBC membership can be purchased at www.bowl.com for returning bowlers.
JUNIOR GOLD MEMBERS / FUTURE JUNIOR GOLD MEMBERS
This event will be a Junior Gold qualifying event. There MUST be at least 4 Junior Gold members bowling in this event for 1 bowler to advance (qualify) to the Junior Gold National Tournament.
In the event of a tie in the Overall score for a Junior Gold spot- the bowler with the highest block set (4 games on 1 pattern) will earn the Junior Gold spot.
4. TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN TIMES
Tournament check-in and bowling times VARY SLIGHTLY from one stop to the next!
Times will be sent out with confirmation 48 hours after purchase.
The deadline for entries (should spots remain) is midnight on the Monday prior to the tournament.
All registrations and payments will be online @www.beastoftheeasttour.com
ABSOLUTELY NO WALK-IN ENTRIES WILL BE PERMITTED
5. ELIGIBILITY
Tournaments are open to all current USBC Youth eligible bowlers
Limit one entry per bowler (per tour stop)
6. WHILE COMPETING
No use of tobacco or vape products
No alcoholic beverages
No foul language or gestures
No earbuds, headsets, or music
No cellphones **except for the use of score tracking
No playing in the arcade
Bowlers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner
Sportsmanship is demanded
Any infractions will result in a warning
If infractions go uncorrected, they will result in further action which may include disqualification from the tournament and a potential ban from future tournaments
7. EVENTS
The Divisions are generally listed as follows:

Divisions may be combined at any time if there are not at least 2 participants in each division.

Placement in age divisions is based upon birthdates as defined by the USBC Junio Gold Age Divisions.
8. FORMAT
There will be 8 qualifying games on 2 different sport shots.
Practice on the first pattern for Squad 1
Bowl 4 games during Squad 1
Break for re-oil of lanes
Squad 1 awards
Practice on the second pattern for Squad 2
Bowl 4 games during Squad 2
Squad 2 awards
Final tournament awards - winner determined by total pinfall for all 8 qualifying games.
Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the tournament format.
(Rule 400 applies to this event and all Beast of the East side events and main events.)
9. SCRATCH SCORING
Competition is scratch for all divisions. There is no handicap within the Beast of the East Tour.
10. ENTRY FEE

Entry fee shall be $85 per bowler

Lineage / Expenses / Award Fee $45

Scholarship Prize Fund $40

The scholarship amount of at least $40 per bowler according to a payout ratio of 1:4 will be awarded at each event.

Some events may have additional funds raised from various sources added to the scholarship payout.

Additional funds are not guaranteed and are awarded at the discretion of the tournament directors.
11. CHANGES TO BOWLING BALL SURFACE
Changes may be made to the surface of a bowling ball at any time PRIOR to the start of any round of competition.
Once a bowler has thrown their FIRST ball of competition in any round, they may NOT adjust the surface of ANY ball, whether inside or outside the building until the last ball is thrown in that round of competition.
Any bowler found to be changing the surface of their ball during the competition will get one warning, with the altered ball being removed from competition play. If a second offense occurs, the bowler will be disqualified.
12. TWO-HANDED BOWLING
Bowlers may bowl with two hands but shall be subject to all rules enforced by the USBC. This includes the legal drilling of a ball being thrown with two hands.
13. COACHING
Coaching is encouraged, but not to the detriment of other bowlers. Coaches ARE NOT allowed in the bowler wells and should not interfere with any competitor.
14. SPEED OF PLAY
Bowlers must remain on their assigned lanes once tournament play has begun.
Any bowler not present for his/her frame shall receive a zero for the frame(s) missed.
Bowlers may speak to a tournament official to request time for a bathroom break or other reasons BEFORE leaving their lane.
15. SCORING
Automatic scorers shall be used along with scores recorded on official score sheets.
All scores will be verified by a tournament official.
Each scoresheet must be initialed by someone assigned to the bowler's lanes.
The scorekeeper AND bowler must BOTH verify that the score is written down accurately and legibly.
Illegible scores will be left to the tournament official to determine.
16. TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR/ OFFICIALS
Tournament Director and/or tournament official in charge shall determine any questions not covered herein.
Tournament officials reserve the right to disqualify or disallow any bowler from participation due to conduct determined to be inappropriate or for infractions of the rules.
Any bowler disqualified will not be eligible for a refund after the competition begins.
All tournament officials will be notified of any infraction or inappropriate conduct before the bowler is disqualified or banned from bowling.
17. AWARDS

Scholarship awards will be made to 1 in 4 participants, with the amounts determined by the number of entries.

Medals/ trophies will be awarded in each division for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Each Champion/ Beast of each Division will receive a Championship Jersey. (One Jersey per bowler)

The Beast of the Year in each division will be awarded additional scholarship money at the end of the season, to be determined by the tournament director.

All scholarship funds will be deposited into the bowler's SMART account.

All USBC awards apply.
18. EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS

No balance holes will be permitted in bowling balls.

ALL holes drilled must be used for gripping purposes on every delivery. (Every hole on the ball has to be occupied by a finger.)
